A COLLECTION OF SOME OF OUR FAVORITE DESIGNS

DSDG ARCHITECTS

The southwest waterfront elevation’s 55-foot long glass sliding doors disappear when opened, and the house opens to the elevated three-sided vanishing edge pool, respecting the incredible water vistas and limiting the sightlines to the neighbors. A projected frame concept was developed to frame the rear façade and shelter it from the southwest sun, which becomes a covered balcony on the first floor and extends out toward the water to become a sun deck on the second floor.

EPOCH SOLUTIONS

These homeowners wanted to achieve a spa-like feeling from the renovation of their master bathroom. Floating vanities using horizontal grain-matched veneers visually accentuate the stretched expanse of the drawers for both sides of the space. Oversized porcelain floor tiles, glass and metal mosaic accent tiles, along with a natural pebble stone shower floor reinforce the Zen aesthetic. The custom concrete countertops and sinks were fabricated in single slabs without the use of seams. LED lighting installed to the underside of the floating cabinets create a night light feature for way-finding. Mirror mounted LED sconces by Edge Lighting serve as frontal lighting with a sleek, slimline appearance. The sit-down dressing station features a framed mirror with an integral lift door for accessible storage and a convenience outlet.

EPOCH SOLUTIONS

The overall design of this tackle room was inspired by the homeowner’s collection of fishing rods, reels, and lures, coupled with her desire to create a space that looked rustic yet modern. Unique features like the pecky cypress walls and ceilings, custom storage, island with glass inserts, zinc countertops, and the Elmira retro-style refrigerator work together to create an eclectic space that remains highly functional. The bold blue hues bring the water of the Gulf of Mexico inside, while the Brookhaven maple cabinetry by Wood-Mode in a natural finish match the sandy earth tones of the surrounding beaches and vegetation.
