The well-established team of Stofft Cooney Architects, Knauf-Koenig Group, and Calusa Bay Design created this 4,891-square-foot custom home on the water in Naples’ Park Shore community. Presented with a challenge to create a custom home that would appeal to many potential buyers, the interior of the home reflects a combination of the investor’s vision of “coastal calm” and Calusa Bay Design’s idea of “coastal elegance.”
A carpenter by trade, KKG co-founder and CEO Matt Knauf executed signature ceiling details customized to each home he builds, meticulously ensuring that each beam lines up perfectly and flows seamlessly from the great room to the kitchen. “There are a number of things that separate our houses from other builders, and the caliber of woodwork and trim detail in every home is definitely one of them,” explains Knauf.
Those details are extremely evident in the great room; which Calusa Bay Design describes as the heart of the home. “This is the space where a family spends most of their time together, so it was important to us that it be comfortable,” notes interior designer Tatum Johansson. “We used jewel tones in aqua and lime to bring this room to life and accentuate the water view.” Legno Bastone Wide Plank Flooring in St. Moritz installed by Naples Flooring brings a rich warmth to the overall design.
Calming blue tones provide a serene feeling in the master suite. The four poster bed with a unique silver metal canopy becomes the focal point of this room. A Stella freestanding tub sits in front of the dual entry shower with glass wall which reveals the distinctive floor to ceiling tile detail. Custom vanities and cabinets by Ruffino Cabinetry are topped in marble with luxury details completing the spa-like oasis.
Outdoors, private resort-style living awaits guests. Designed for functionality and entertaining, a gas fireplace creates ambiance and warmth on the occasional cool Naples’ night. The living space is surrounded by the flush spa and pool with sun shelf overlooking the water beyond.
